The Importance Of Good Branding

This morning a neatly wrapped little parcel dropped through the letterbox and made a clunk as it hit the mat. Inside was a beautifully presented little black box containing a batch of our new moo business cards.

Why Moo?

SOLID Business Cards
SOLID Business Cards printed by Moo.

There are countless print companies in Belfast and the surrounding area, but I chose to use moo for a number of reasons, some important, some less so. The first is the most vital - the quality of the print. Visually they look fantastic, the card feels substantial, and they have a lovely matt silk lamination on them, giving the card a nice sheen and texture, without being harsh and shiny.

The Almighty Dollar

The second reason I chose moo is the price. Before delivery you can get a pack of 50 cards for £10.99. If you choose (and this is their key selling point) you can have each card display a different design, with the same contact details on the back. I chose the 50 pack because it meant if I wasn’t delighted with the print I hadn’t lost out too much. I have no complaints. I would recommend not using an image for the side containing your details. I did this as I wanted a slightly different design to the text options they offer, but I think I’ll forego this for the next batch (which I won’t be waiting too long to order). The text is much crisper on cards that have been designed by typing your details into the moo website during your order.

Interactivity and Feedback

Another reason for using moo is their website. This article from their blog suggests various uses for your printed cards. I particularly liked this suggestion for a unique and colourful calendar, and may well be trying it out myself for the office. This kind of interactivity is great to see, not least because it showcases some of their clients providing free publicity for both parties.

Remember Me?

Finally, and almost as important as the quality, is that I have seen and heard of moo, and remembered them. Their name is memorable, their branding is memorable, their cards are memorable. If you can make your company as memorable as moo have made theirs, you are sure to receive new and repeat business.
